INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S FOLKLORE FESTIVAL “ĐERAM” BRINGS TRADITION TO LIFE IN UGLJEVIK

The International Children’s Folklore Festival “Đeram” was held on the square in front of the “Filip Višnjić” Cultural Center in Ugljevik, organized by the “Ravno Polje” Cultural and Artistic Society from Ugljevik.

Young folklore dancers from several ensembles took part in the festival, including SPKD “Prosvjeta” Prnjavor, KUD “Biser” Putinci, KUD “Cerska mladost” Joševa and KUD “Srpsko kolo” Brodac, delighting the large audience with their performances.

The festival was also supported by the “Čuvari tradicije Đeram” association and the “Filip Višnjić” Cultural Center in Ugljevik, both dedicated to preserving and promoting children’s folklore and traditional culture.

The event was attended by the Mayor of Ugljevik, Dragan Gajić.

“Events like this show how important it is for our children to develop a love for tradition and cultural heritage from an early age. The Municipality of Ugljevik will continue to support projects like this because we believe that culture and folklore are among the best ways to preserve what makes us unique,” Gajić said.

He congratulated all participants, mentors and organizers on their dedication and the successful organization of the festival.
