Theater lovers will have the opportunity to enjoy the outstanding monodrama “The Bridge on the Drina,” performed by the brilliant Tihomir “Tika” Stanić, on April 25 at the Obilićevo Theatre Hall (GP Jazavac Hall), starting at 8 PM.
The monodrama is based on the famous work by Nobel Prize winner Ivo Andrić and has been captivating audiences across the region for years. In this adaptation, “The Bridge on the Drina” goes beyond the boundaries of classical theater, delivering a powerful and emotional story about history, human destinies, and the passage of time.
The audience will witness Tihomir Stanić in a highly demanding role, where he simultaneously becomes the narrator, a witness, and a character.
ONE ACTOR – MANY CHARACTERS
Throughout the performance, Stanić seamlessly transforms from one role to another – at one moment he is Mehmed Pasha Sokolović, at another the voice of the people, and then the quiet inner thought of Ivo Andrić himself. This remarkable transformation makes the monodrama a unique theatrical experience that leaves audiences in awe.
