BANJA LUKA BOOK FAIR 2026 OPENS TODAY

The 31st International Book Fair “Banja Luka 2026” opens today at 6 p.m. at Borik Sports Hall, bringing together publishers, writers and book lovers.

This year’s fair marks three major anniversaries of Serbian culture: 200 years since the founding of Matica Srpska and 150 years since the births of renowned writers Borisav Bora Stanković and Milan Rakić.

The fair will officially open with a literary address by Dragan Stanić, President of Matica Srpska, entitled “200 Years of Matica Srpska.”

Visitors can look forward to book launches, presentations by publishing houses and cultural institutions, literary discussions and fair awards.
