A modern multimedia room dedicated to King Peter I Karađorđević has been opened at the Public Library in Mrkonjić Grad, offering visitors an innovative way to explore his historical legacy through digital and interactive content.
The
exhibition focuses particularly on an important historical event from 1875,
when the future king, using the hajduk pseudonym Petar Mrkonjić, commanded an
insurgent detachment in Krajina.
His
historical role left a lasting mark on the region, while Mrkonjić Grad has
proudly carried his name since 1925.
The new multimedia room represents an important cultural and tourism attraction for the town and, together with the monument dedicated to King Peter I in the centre of Mrkonjić Grad, completes a unique historical route dedicated to this significant chapter of the area's past.
Modern
digital and interactive content allows visitors to discover the historical
events and heritage of the region in a new and engaging way, further strengthening
the role of the exhibition in promoting cultural and historical tourism.
The
multimedia room is set to become a must-visit destination for history and
culture enthusiasts, as well as for tourists wishing to discover the rich
heritage of Mrkonjić Grad and the wider Krajina region.
