MONOGRAPH “THE ČUBRILOVIĆ BROTHERS - A SENTENCE ON A YOUTH” PRESENTED IN GRADIŠKA

The monograph “The Čubrilović Brothers - A Sentence on a Youth” has been formally presented at the Cultural Centre in Gradiška, highlighting the life, work, and tragic fate of one of the most significant Serbian families from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The publication represents a major publishing endeavour, offering not only a systematization of already known historical facts, but also a significant amount of previously unpublished archival material, personal testimonies, and authentic photographs. These sources shed new light on the life and suffering of the Čubrilović brothers and the historical context in which they lived.

The monograph provides a deeper insight into an important period of national history through rich documentary material.

Result of long-term research

The book is the result of long-term joint research by historian Prof. Dr. Borivoje Milošević from Banja Luka and Bojan Vujčić, director of the Gradiška Heritage Museum.

The project was significantly supported by Prof. Dr. Vera Bujičić, the granddaughter of Veljko Čubrilović, whose contribution provided valuable family testimonies and documents that further enriched the publication.

Contribution to historical heritage

The presentation was organized by the Gradiška Heritage Museum. The monograph stands as an important contribution to preserving historical memory and researching the legacy of the Čubrilović family, whose name remains deeply embedded in the history of the Serbian people.
