According to Radio Bileća, the uniqueness of this edition is not only in introducing the youngest generations to the cultural heritage of their hometown, but also in the fact that all proceeds from sales are intended for the Association of Children with Developmental Difficulties “Vedar osmijeh”.

AN IDEA BORN FROM CHILDREN’S CREATIVITY

The idea for the project was launched by Bojana Tomašević, a primary school teacher at “Sveti Sava” Primary School, who collected children’s drawings and materials about Bileća over the years.

The goal was to help children learn more about their town, its landmarks and notable personalities, while transforming their creativity into an educational colouring book.

AROUND 40 SYMBOLS OF BILEĆA

The colouring book contains around 40 illustrations, including the town’s coat of arms and flag, the municipal building, streets, parks, the lake, religious buildings, cultural institutions and famous personalities such as Momo Kapor, Jevto Dedijer, Karl Malden and Tijana Bošković.

Special attention was given to students’ works, including a poem about Bileća written by student Tijana Vujović.

BUYING THE BOOK MEANS SUPPORTING CHILDREN

The printing of the colouring book was supported by the Municipality of Bileća, local schools, the “Vedar osmijeh” Association and the Serbian Cultural and Educational Society “Prosvjeta” Bileća.

The colouring book can be purchased at the “Vladimir Gaćinović” Public Library and at the Tourist Organisation souvenir shop in the Sports Hall of Bileća for 10 KM, with all funds directed towards this humanitarian mission.
