The 18th International Actors’ Festival “Zaplet” has officially opened at the Jazavac City Theatre in Banjaluka, bringing together theatre companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia. The festival runs until October 28.
This year’s edition, held under the slogan “Rivijera Obilićevo,” opened with the premiere of And They Lived Happily, performed by Jazavac City Theatre. The play was written by Nina Horvat and directed by Slađana Kilibarda.
Alongside the performances, visitors can enjoy the accompanying programme “Conversations with Actors,” offering an opportunity to meet the performers and learn more about their creative work.
A special part of this year’s festival is “Zaplet 100’S,” showcasing outstanding theatre productions created in Banjaluka over the past year.
The festival continues to celebrate theatrical creativity, cultural exchange, and Banjaluka’s growing importance as a regional centre for the performing arts.
