Young and talented singer Danilo Milosavljević from Banja Luka has impressed the jury of the popular regional singing competition “Zvezde Granda” with his powerful voice, performance and overall stage presence.
Born in 2007, Danilo entered the competition hoping to
become part of an established musical project, experience professional
television production and perform in front of a large audience.
“This is an invaluable experience for me. Although I have
participated in many competitions, Zvezde Granda carries a particular weight
and seriousness, and represents a step forward in my singing career. Receiving
all seven votes from the jury members proves that I am on the right path. It
also motivates me to prepare even more seriously for the next stages of the
competition,” the young singer said.
Like every contestant, he hopes to achieve the best possible
final result. He will be guided throughout the competition by his chosen
mentor, singer Sanja Vučić.
FROM BALKAN FEST TO THE INTERNATIONAL STAGE IN BELARUS
Success on Zvezde Granda is not the only achievement in
Danilo’s growing musical career. After winning first place in the senior
category at this year’s Balkan Fest competition, he will represent Bosnia and
Herzegovina at the international Slavianski Bazaar festival in Belarus in 2027.
Danilo describes his Balkan Fest victory as the culmination
of years of dedication and hard work, as well as recognition of his deep love
for music.
“Winning first place at Balkan Fest fulfilled a dream I had
cherished for years. I had competed before and never gave up. I believed in
myself, knowing how much work and effort I had invested. Performing at
Slavianski Bazaar in Belarus will be a major challenge. The competition will be
very strong, but that only gives me additional motivation to give my absolute
best, and even more, because I want to represent my country in the best
possible light,” the young artist said.
HOW SINGING BECAME PART OF HIS JOURNEY TO RECOVERY
Danilo’s story is far from ordinary. At the age of five, he
was diagnosed with bronchial asthma, a condition that made everyday life more
difficult and prevented him from enjoying the carefree childhood experienced by
many of his peers.
After several years of treatment, his doctor made a bold
decision to discontinue his medication and recommended singing as a form of
therapy. While practising the complex breathing techniques required for vocal
performance, Danilo’s remarkable talent, rich voice and ability to convey
emotions through music became increasingly apparent.
“What started as part of my therapy on the road to recovery
gradually became my greatest passion and an essential part of my everyday life.
What began as treatment developed into a love without which my life would now
feel incomplete. Singing was what helped me overcome asthma,” the young
vocalist explained.
A RECOGNISED TALENT AND A FAVOURITE IN HIS HOMETOWN
Danilo’s exceptional talent has earned him recognition at
numerous competitions and opportunities to collaborate with established
regional artists. In his hometown of Banja Luka, he has also become a familiar
performer at many of the city’s major events.
“I love my city and its people, and Banja Luka will always
remain my favourite place to perform. The support of my fellow citizens means a
great deal to me, as does the encouragement I have received over the years from
my family and friends,” he said.
MUSIC AND EDUCATION GO HAND IN HAND
Looking ahead, Danilo plans to pursue music more seriously
while continuing to fulfil his university commitments.
With a growing list of achievements, a place on the stage of
Zvezde Granda and the prospect of representing Bosnia and Herzegovina at an
international festival, the young singer from Banja Luka is taking important
steps towards a promising musical career.
