A NATURAL SETTING FOR FISHING AND RELAXATION

Derventa Mayor Igor Žunić welcomed the competitors and highlighted the importance of the Tešendić recreation area, describing it as one of the town's most attractive locations, offering a pleasant natural setting for relaxation, fishing and enjoying local gastronomy.

“This is one of the most beautiful places in Derventa, with a wonderful setting where nature lovers can enjoy fishing, natural scenery and the local culinary offer. This cup is being held at this recreation area for the second time, and judging by the response from participants, I believe we will continue to develop the event in the coming years, attracting an increasing number of anglers,” Žunić said.

He added that the competition provides an opportunity to promote Derventa, fishing tourism and the recreation area itself, including its gastronomic offer.

A LAKE RICH IN FISH

The lake at the Tešendić recreation area covers 13,000 square metres and is home to five fish species, making it an attractive destination for fishing enthusiasts.

By bringing together experienced anglers and young competitors, the International Method Feeder Cup contributes to the promotion of recreational fishing, outdoor activities and the natural attractions of the Derventa area.
