Construction of a new premium family-sports resort is set to begin soon on the shores of Zvorničko jezero. The complex, named “Viva la Verde,” will cover an area of 32,000 square meters and is expected to significantly enhance the region’s tourism offer.
According to Info Birač, the investment is valued at eight million euros and is anticipated to bring both new tourism value and a strong economic boost to this part of Republika Srpska.
The
resort has been designed as a modern complex featuring low-impact water
infrastructure, including floating pontoons and a micro-marina, alongside
high-quality land-based facilities. Plans include the construction of 15 villas
– 12 dome units with a diameter of six meters and three double units consisting
of two interconnected domes of the same size. In total, 18 domes will be built,
each offering a private yard, sauna, and jacuzzi.
In
addition to accommodation facilities, the resort will feature a restaurant and
clubhouse, a yoga hall, a spa center, a children’s playroom, a ski storage
facility, sports courts, and numerous amenities designed for younger guests.
A floating marina stretching along approximately 400 meters of shoreline is also planned, further enriching the lake’s tourism infrastructure.
The
resort will be built on the Kamenica peninsula, under the administration of
Vode Srpske. The project aims to enhance the value of public water resources
while strictly adhering to water management regulations and all applicable
laws.
Special
emphasis will be placed on the use of natural materials such as stone, wood,
and glass to ensure the buildings blend harmoniously with the environment and
preserve the area’s natural character.
The
development is expected to create 40 new jobs, while also benefiting local
suppliers through integration into supply chains. In the long term, the project
is projected to generate stable budget revenues and strengthen the region’s
tourism appeal.
