At Danilo Škero’s farm in Pridvorci, as every year, the start of the quince harvest was officially marked with the help of children from kindergartens across Herzegovina.

Songs and laughter of the little ones echoed through the quince orchard in Pridvorci near Trebinje.

Through play and song, the children showed how hardworking they can be. The kindergarten teachers expressed their gratitude to the organizer, emphasizing how beneficial outdoor activities are for children.

“Spending time in nature supports children’s physical development, and we are also part of the healthy nutrition program,” said Jelena Vujičić, director of the kindergarten Sveta Evgenija Carica Milica from Nevesinje.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for socialization, and we are very grateful to the organizer for providing transportation so we could attend this event,” added Ljeposava Janjoš, director of the kindergarten Sveta Novomučenica Milica – Dete from Berkovići.

This year, the organizer introduced new activities for the children from Herzegovinian kindergartens.

“The children are the ones who start my quince harvest. This year, we’ve introduced a new festival called ‘Dunjo Moja sa Ormara,’ dedicated to Halid Bešlić,” said quince producer Danilo Škero.

At this year’s festival, the kindergarten from Nevesinje won first place with their performances and recitations. In addition to unforgettable memories, the children took home symbolic gifts.
