Vuk's journey began in the classrooms of Vuk Karadžić Primary School in Trebinje and has now led him to the top of the world's most prestigious mathematics competition.

TREBINJE EARNS GLOBAL RECOGNITION

Every time Vuk Janković competes internationally, the name Trebinje appears beside his own. With each new medal, the southern Bosnian city gains recognition among the world's leading academic institutions and scientific communities.

His victory in Shanghai also brings Trebinje into the spotlight in China, highlighting the city's ability to nurture exceptional young talent despite its modest size.

Local media praised the young champion, describing him as a humble, hardworking and dedicated student whose achievements have brought pride to Trebinje, Herzegovina, Republika Srpska, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
