The Regional Development League is played in a tournament format across four events and brings together clubs from Serbia, North Macedonia and Republika Srpska. The host of the opening tournament was VK Sloboda Užice.

Fighting Spirit Leads to a Historic First Win

Leotar’s juniors played their first official match in the competition in Užice and immediately secured a major victory. In a highly competitive and intense game, they defeated the host team Sloboda 4–3.

It was a match full of pace, determination and emotion – clear proof that Leotar has a generation ready for big achievements.

In their second game, the Trebinje side were awarded a win by official result against VK Paraćin, while in the third match they were defeated by VK Železničar Lajkovac with a score of 8–3.

At the first tournament, Leotar played three matches but did not face the Macedonian team VK Lokomotiva.

Club representatives also explained the competition format:

“Out of five participants at each tournament, one team plays three matches, while the other four play two each. Our juniors showed at the very start that they can compete equally with the rest,” the club stated.

Tournament in Lajkovac Next – A New Chance for Points

The next tournament will be held in Lajkovac, where one of Leotar’s opponents will be VK Lokomotiva.

According to the competition rules, all teams will face each other twice, and the top four sides will qualify for the final, fifth tournament.

From the very beginning, Leotar has shown that they are not participating in the Regional Development League just for experience – but to compete for the top. A proud start, strong energy and clear ambition: the juniors from Trebinje are moving forward boldly!
