The idea of building a gondola that would connect Banja Luka with one of its most popular recreational areas, Banj Hill, has entered a new phase.
The Civil Engineering Institute of Banja Luka has launched a public survey to gather citizens' opinions on the project, which could significantly enhance the city's tourism and recreational offer.
Survey as Part of the Feasibility Study
As part of the official Feasibility and Justification Study, the investor has proposed a gondola system as the preferred solution. Before any final decisions are made, public opinion has been placed at the center of the planning process.
The survey, titled "Analysis of Public Perception of the Banj Hill Gondola Project," aims to determine how residents perceive the idea, whether they would use the gondola, and what impact they believe it could have on tourism, recreation, and the overall quality of life in Banja Luka.
Residents Can Help Shape the Decision
The survey results will be used to assess the project's social and market viability and will serve as a basis for planning the next stages of its potential implementation.
The City Administration emphasized that the survey is completely anonymous and takes only a few minutes to complete.
"Everyone who wishes to share their opinion and contribute to the decision on whether Banja Luka should have a gondola to Banj Hill in the future is invited to participate through the official City Administration website," the City said in a statement.
A New Tourist Attraction for Banja Luka?
If the project receives public support and is confirmed as viable through the feasibility study, the gondola could become one of Banja Luka's most significant tourist attractions. It would provide faster and more attractive access to Banj Hill while further enriching the city's tourism and leisure offer for both domestic and international visitors.
