The children’s folklore festival titled “Ajte djeco sa svih strana kolo kolovito zaigrati s nama” was held in Gradiška.
The host of the event was the Cultural and Artistic Society “Kolovit.”
This festival, organized for the tenth time in the town on the Sava River, brought together participants from several folklore groups, including KUD “Piskavica” from Piskavica, KUD “Dr Mladen Stojanović” from Prijedor, KUD “Miloš Dujić Mišo” from Čelinac, and the “BosniaFolk” Ensemble from Zenica.
“Traditionally, this festival features performers up to the age of 14. We strive to host as many young groups as possible, while also giving our own children’s groups the opportunity to perform. We have strong cooperation with our friends from other towns and aim to create a diverse program, allowing each group to present dances characteristic of the region they come from,” said Mirko Borjanović, president of KUD “Kolovit.”
Mirko Arambašić, secretary of KUD “Piskavica,” noted that they have maintained long-standing cooperation with “Kolovit,” which has now entered its third decade.
