BANJA LUKA – French producer Sébastien Léger and Scottish DJ Denis Sulta have been announced as the latest headline acts for the 14th edition of Freshwave Festival, which will take place from August 6 to 8 at the historic Kastel Fortress in Banja Luka.
The two internationally acclaimed artists,
both regulars at some of the world's biggest festivals and clubs, will lead
this year's electronic music lineup, bringing together different generations
and styles of the global dance scene.
Sébastien Léger has spent more than three
decades building a reputation as one of electronic music's most original and
respected producers. Known for his performances at festivals such as
Tomorrowland and Coachella, as well as his spectacular Cercle set filmed in
front of the Pyramids of Giza, Léger has earned worldwide recognition for his
hypnotic performances, melodic sound, and uncompromising artistic vision.
Through his own record label, Lost Miracle, he
has created a distinctive musical identity that blends emotion, groove, and
sophisticated production, making him one of the most influential names in the
melodic house and techno scene. Rather than following trends, Léger has
consistently set them, crafting DJ sets that tell immersive musical stories
instead of simply playing a collection of hits.
Joining him is one of the brightest stars of
the new generation of house and techno artists. Denis Sulta has risen from
working in a local record store to performing on the world's most prestigious
stages in just a few years.
Supported early in his career by artists such as Four Tet, Ben UFO, and Annie Mac, Sulta quickly gained international recognition, while his Boiler Room performances, viewed millions of times online, confirmed his status as one of the most exciting DJs of his generation.
His energetic performances, unpredictable
track selection, and seamless fusion of house, techno, disco, and euphoric
melodies have made him a regular guest at world-famous events including
Circoloco, Time Warp, Awakenings, and Panorama Bar.
The arrival of Léger and Sulta further
strengthens this year's festival concept, "Enter the Nexus," which
aims to blur the boundaries between musical genres, generations, and scenes,
creating a unique festival experience.
In addition to its electronic music program,
Freshwave has also completed its Live Stage lineup, featuring some of the
region's biggest acts. Festival-goers can also look forward to performances by
Grše, Buč Kesidi, Zoster, Let 3, Vojko V, Z++, and Elemental, highlighting the
festival's tradition of combining international electronic artists with leading
regional performers.
For fourteen years, Freshwave Festival has
successfully connected world-class electronic music with the regional live
music scene, transforming Kastel Fortress into a gathering place for thousands
of visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Balkans, and across Europe.
From August 6 to 8, Banja Luka will once again
become a meeting point where music, people, and energy come together, proving
why Freshwave remains one of Southeast Europe's most distinctive summer
festivals.
