The plateau in front of the Faculty of Philosophy within the University Campus in Banja Luka will be transformed into the largest open-air concert stage in Republika Srpska on June 15, as the University of Banja Luka hosts its spectacular annual concert titled “Gift to the Republic.”

Starting at 9:00 p.m., under the open sky and in front of thousands of visitors, nearly one hundred artists will take part in a unique musical event marking the end of another successful academic year while once again highlighting the strong connection between the University, culture, and the wider community.

The grand stage will feature a joint performance by the Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka and the Symphony Orchestra of the National Theatre of Republika Srpska. The audience will enjoy a carefully selected repertoire that includes timeless masterpieces of classical and film music, as well as symphonic arrangements of popular compositions.

A special highlight of the evening will be performances by renowned regional music star Lena Kovačević and internationally acclaimed guitarist Igor Paspalj. Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy the powerful voice of opera diva Dunja Simić.

“Gift to the Republic” has become one of the most significant cultural events organized by the University of Banja Luka, attracting thousands of spectators and reinforcing the institution’s role as a key contributor to the cultural life of Republika Srpska.

The event is being held under the patronage of the President of Republika Srpska, while the general media sponsor is Radio Television of Republika Srpska (RTRS), which will provide a live television broadcast of the concert, allowing audiences across the region to enjoy the musical spectacle.
