ADVENTURE PARK FOR CHILDREN TO OPEN SOON ON ROMANIJA MOUNTAIN

The Mountaineering Society “Glasinac” from Sokolac has started the construction of the “Vjeverica” adventure park for children on Romanija Mountain, with completion planned by August 31 this year.

According to the society’s secretary, Vera Mijatović, the project titled “Vjeverica Adventure Park – A Space for Play and Nature for Children” will be implemented in four phases.

The new park will feature a variety of adventure and recreational facilities designed for children, including wooden obstacle courses, climbing elements, bridges, seesaws and swings.

Mijatović emphasized that the green area in the heart of Romanija is expected to become a recognizable destination for children and families.

“Young visitors to the mountain will have the opportunity to play, learn and grow in a healthy environment, in a space that will enrich the life of the local community and encourage love for the mountain and its natural values,” she said.

As part of the project activities, an educational workshop on environmental protection and responsible behavior in nature has already been organized for children at the mountaineering lodge on Romanija. After the theoretical session, participants collected waste in the mountain area during a field activity.
