The tourism offer of Republika Srpska sparked enormous interest at the 47th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade, confirming once again that visitors from Serbia remain the most numerous guests in the entity.
At the
region’s largest tourism event, which gathered more than 350 exhibitors from 18
countries, Republika Srpska showcased its strongest assets—combining adventure,
tradition, and gastronomy into a diverse and appealing offer.
From Wineries to Rafting Adventures
According
to Sanela Šimun, Public Relations Associate at the Tourism Organization of
Republika Srpska (TORS), visitors from Serbia know exactly what they are
looking for.
“The
most sought-after destination is Trebinje, known for its religious tourism and
numerous wineries. On the other hand, Banja Luka is recognized for rafting on
the Vrbas River and traditional ‘dajak’ boat rides, while true adventure lovers
opt for the national parks Sutjeska National Park and Drina National Park,”
Šimun said.
This
combination of cultural heritage, active holidays, and authentic gastronomy
continues to position Republika Srpska as one of the most attractive nearby
destinations for Serbian travelers.
Winter Season in Full Swing
Special
emphasis was placed on mountain tourism, as the winter season on the Olympic
beauty still shows no signs of slowing down.
“We
are extremely satisfied that, after four years, the winter season continues at this
intensity. The Olympic Center Jahorina is operating at full capacity, while Ski
Center Igrišta and Ravna Planina are also developing successfully and recording
excellent attendance,” Šimun added.
Strong
snowfall and well-maintained infrastructure have contributed to a dynamic
season, drawing both weekend visitors and longer-stay tourists from across the
region.
Fair Discounts Coming to Banja Luka
Following
the Belgrade event, the promotion moves to the largest city of Republika
Srpska. The fair will soon be held at Borik Hall (SC Arena) in Banja Luka,
where numerous agencies will present tourism offers from Republika Srpska and
the wider region.
Visitors
will have the opportunity to take advantage of significant discounts for the
upcoming summer season, while also discovering more about domestic spa resorts
and ethno destinations that continue to enrich the local tourism portfolio.
