The ninth Craft Beer and Rock ’n’ Roll Festival was held on August 21 at Students’ Square in Pale, bringing together beer enthusiasts and rock music fans for an evening dedicated to craft brewing and live entertainment.
The festival offered visitors more than 30 different styles
of craft beer, presented by eight breweries from Serbia and Bosnia and
Herzegovina.
CRAFT BEER FROM SERBIA AND BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
The festival was organized by the citizens’ association
“Birokrata” from Pale, which said that previous editions had shown that craft
beer was increasingly being embraced by visitors.
“Previous experiences have been excellent. Although craft
brewing is still relatively new, the flavors are distinctive, and they have
nevertheless been well received by beer enthusiasts,” the organizers said.
Among the participating breweries was “Vertigo” from Čačak,
which made its first appearance at the Pale festival.
Lazar Glišić from the brewery said they were delighted with
their first visit to Pale and had six different beer styles on offer.
“We are here for the first time and we are delighted with
the city. Our brewery was established two years ago,” Glišić said.
ROCK MUSIC TO COMPLETE THE FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE
In addition to craft beer, visitors enjoyed a rich music
programme at Students’ Square.
The legendary rock band Yu Grupa performed during
the festival, following two opening acts from Istočno Sarajevo and Pale.
The combination of craft beer, live rock music and an
open-air atmosphere once again turned the Pale festival into a gathering place
for beer lovers, musicians and visitors from across the region.
