A group of mountaineers from the Prijedor Mountaineering Society "Klekovača" recently embarked on an expedition to the Dinara mountain, situated on the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.
Located between the Cetina River to the southwest and the Livanjsko Polje plain to the northeast, this mountain captivates with its beauty and presents a challenge for numerous mountaineers and lovers of untouched nature.
"The impressive cliffs of Dinara and the excellent via ferrata on them. We, halfway to the summit, near the Dinaridi shelter. The video posted on the Instagram profile of the Mountaineering Society, filmed by Karlo L.," stated the PD Klekovača.
Dinara is also home to the eponymous Nature Park, an area of significance due to its preserved natural values, rich geological diversity, numerous wild plant and animal species, endemics, as well as the overall diversity of natural and semi-natural habitats. It holds value derived from centuries-old traditions of human space usage, indigenous breeds and varieties, and a rich cultural and historical heritage preserved in numerous archaeological finds and cultural-historical sites.
