Thanks to the years-long efforts of Indian writer and researcher Satish Solanki from New Delhi, the life and legacy of Lepa Radić have become known to members of the Indian public, while his work dedicated to her has also found its place in the official monograph Heroine Lepa Radić.

AN INDIAN RESEARCHER INSPIRED BY LEPA RADIĆ'S COURAGE

Solanki, who has spent years researching and promoting world cultural heritage and prominent historical figures, discovered Lepa Radić's biography while researching historical information online.

Deeply moved by the story of her suffering and extraordinary courage, he launched a series of initiatives aimed at preserving the memory of the young Partisan fighter and presenting her legacy to a wider audience.

He was particularly inspired by the commitment of the Central Cultural and Artistic Society (CKUD) to preserving the memory of Lepa Radić and promoting her life and work.

INITIATIVE ADDRESSED TO INDIA'S HIGHEST STATE AUTHORITIES

As part of his efforts, Solanki addressed official letters to Indian state institutions, proposing concrete measures that would help recognize Lepa Radić's heroic legacy in India.

His initiative includes several proposals:

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES: Introducing a lesson about Lepa Radić into school textbooks across India.

NAMING PUBLIC FACILITIES: Naming a street, bridge, airport or university department after “Veerangna Lepa Radić” — using an honorary Indian term for a female hero and warrior.

CULTURAL AND COMMEMORATIVE ACTIVITIES: Producing documentaries and feature films in Hindi, organizing school essay competitions and establishing annual memorial awards dedicated to her.

HER STORY TRANSLATED INTO SEVERAL LANGUAGES

One of the most remarkable aspects of Solanki's work is his effort to make Lepa Radić's story accessible to audiences across linguistic and cultural boundaries.

He translated texts about Lepa Radić, including her final words, not only into English and Hindi, but also into the ancient Indian Brahmi script.

Through his long-standing cooperation and communication with representatives of the Central Cultural and Artistic Society, Solanki also established a direct connection with the local community in the region where Lepa Radić's story originated.

HIS WORK INCLUDED IN THE MONOGRAPH “HEROINE LEPA RADIĆ”

The culmination of this international cooperation came when Solanki's original text and illustration dedicated to Lepa Radić were included in the official monograph Heroine Lepa Radić.
