The fourth edition of the “Trebinje Jazz Festival” opened last night in the garden of the “Platani” Hotel with a performance by the “Rundek Eco Quartet.” The festival will run until August 28, with events taking place at several venues across the city.
The musical journey of Darko Rundek, one of the most authentic artists on the regional scene, from his days with “Haustor,” through the “Cargo Orchestra,” to his current quartet formations, reflects an artist who constantly evolves while never losing his distinctive touch.
Performing before a large and diverse audience, Rundek appeared alongside Miro Manojlović, Ana Kovačić, and Igor Pavlica. The repertoire featured songs that marked various stages of Rundek’s rich career, highlighting layered instrumentals, strong emotions, and a deep connection with the audience.
The “Trebinje Jazz Festival” is organized by the Cultural Center Trebinje, with support from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska and the City of Trebinje. On behalf of the organizers, the audience was welcomed by Miljan Vuković, Director of the Cultural Center, and Slađana Skočajić, Head of the City’s Department of Culture. The festival was officially opened by Tanja Đaković, Assistant Minister of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska.
The program continues tonight, August 25, with a performance by the Belgrade Jazz Quartet in the Old Town, starting at 9 p.m.
