The National Library in Gacko hosted Nenad Gugl, a literature professor, writer, and lecturer, who delivered an inspiring talk titled “Anchor and Sails in Love”, exploring the power of love, human dignity, and the values that give meaning to life.
Drawing on the wisdom of renowned philosophers, writers, and spiritual thinkers, Gugl shared his perspective on love as a powerful force that shapes people's lives, relationships, and understanding of the world.
HUMAN DIGNITY AS LIFE'S ANCHOR
Using the symbolism of an anchor and sails, Gugl explained the importance of values that help people find balance and direction in life.
According to his interpretation, human dignity represents the anchor that provides stability, while truth, respect, joy, courage, and sacrifice are the sails of love that guide life's journey and give it purpose.
“I read good literature on behalf of others, and that is my job,” Gugl told the audience gathered in the library's reading room.
FROM LITERATURE PROFESSOR TO WRITER AND LECTURER
Nenad Gugl taught literature at a secondary school for 14 years before dedicating himself to writing books and delivering lectures throughout the region.
He is the author of four novels: I Died on Friday, The Splendor of a Second, I Lived a Thousand Years, and 21 Gold Bars.
His lectures combine literature, philosophy, and spirituality, encouraging audiences to reflect on universal questions, personal values, and human relationships.
