NEW HOTEL TO BE BUILT IN THE CENTER OF TREBINJE

The City of Trebinje has launched the development of the "Agrokop" Urban Project, which outlines the construction of a brand-new hotel in the central urban area, specifically at the site of the former Agrokop facility. As reported by the eKapija portal, the hotel is planned at the intersection of Vojvode Stepe Stepanovića and Kralja Petra I Oslobodioca streets, in the immediate vicinity of the main roundabout.

According to the city’s Department of Spatial Planning, the project aims to significantly enhance Trebinje's tourism infrastructure by creating new accommodation capacities for both domestic and foreign visitors. Officials emphasize that Trebinje is one of the leading tourism development centers in Republika Srpska, boasting exceptional potential for the growth of hospitality and supporting services. The initiation of the "Agrokop" Urban Project is fully aligned with the current spatial planning documentation and the city's strategic development goals.

PROJECT DETAILS AND ARCHITECTURAL INTEGRATION

While the precise contents and functional layout of the hotel will be defined during the detailed design phase, the current urban plan reveals a substantial structure. The building is designed to include two underground levels, a basement, a ground floor, five standard floors, and an additional recessed top floor.

The City Administration states that the new hotel is envisioned as a contemporary, prestigious, and highly functional facility, with a strong emphasis placed on its visual impact. Representatives told eKapija that special attention will be paid to the architectural design to ensure the building seamlessly integrates into the existing environment while respecting Trebinje's distinct urban and architectural identity.

PUBLIC REVIEW UNDERWAY

The identity of the investor for the future hotel has not yet been disclosed. However, the completion of this project is expected to boost Trebinje's lodging capacity and further enrich the town's tourism and hospitality scene. Given its prime location in the wider city center, the development is also expected to stimulate further urban growth in this specific neighborhood.

The "Agrokop" Urban Project is currently open for public inspection and will remain available for review until September 25, 2026.
