The “Trotoart” Street Performers Festival will once again transform the streets of the largest city in Republika Srpska into a vibrant stage of art, music, dance, and creativity this summer.

The fifth edition of the festival will take place from June 15 to 21, bringing seven days of diverse and dynamic performances featuring as many as 420 local artists.

Milada Šukalo, Project Manager for the City of Banjaluka, emphasized that the festival continues to attract an increasing number of local performers who recognize “Trotoart” as a space for free expression, creativity, and artistic collaboration

“After a successful public call, the project team carefully reviewed all applications, and we are delighted that this year we will host 40 local groups along with numerous individual artists. The true beauty of the festival lies in our fellow citizens – talented people who bring a unique spirit to the city streets through their energy, music, dance, and creativity. We believe this year’s edition of ‘Trotoart’ will once again bring smiles, a wonderful atmosphere, and unforgettable moments for all generations,” Šukalo said.

In addition to the City Tamburitza Orchestra, which is co-organizing the event, visitors will enjoy performances by the “Branko Davidović” Tamburitza School, Baba Djex Tribe, the “Banjalučki vez” Ensemble, Ensemble “Lira”, Bachata Team, the art section of KUD “Čajavec”, Dankan Theatre and Dance Club, the music ensemble “Instrumentići”, the KreArtivci group, street musician Dragoslav Ramić, face-paint artist Branka Repac, artists Jelena Pucar and Mirjana Ilić, as well as the preschool institution “Školica” with the group “Čudna šuma”.

The audience will also see drum performances by Goran Mušan and artistic presentations by Ivana Šobić.

This year’s festival lineup also includes the mixed choirs “Pjetro Maskanji”, “Davorin Jenko”, and “Banjalučki Krajani”, the Croatian Singing Society “Nada”, Ivana Kozomara with the children’s program “Ivanče baštovanče”, Jasna Malbašić, SRU “La Tambora”, Zoran Aranut, guitarists Manuel Jović and Mihajlo Ćejić, and the Rock Liga Band.

During the festival week, the city streets will also host performances by the preschool group “Gusari”, members of the Rubik Club with workshops and presentations, Sister Duo, the “Ninth Dimension” Association with a comic art school, The Fandangos, Tijana Mihić, the “Children of Light” Association, the citizens’ association “Bozon” with handicraft exhibitions and creative workshops, Vivid Colors Band, the “Banjalučka svita” Ensemble, the female chamber choir “Iris”, artist Slobodan Kesić, and the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Throughout the seven festival days, Banjaluka will once again become a center of street art and creative expression, a meeting place for artists, citizens, and tourists, where every corner of the city will come alive through music, colors, movement, and positive energy.
