The sound of racing engines will once again bring motorsport enthusiasts to the Zalužani Motorsport Complex near Banja Luka. Local crews and competitors from across the region and Europe are expected to take part, while this year's programme offers spectators the chance to see rally cars in action on different surfaces and experience the excitement of racing after dark.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION AND CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS

The participation of 63 crews promises an action-packed weekend, with every stage and every second potentially affecting the final standings. Alongside competitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, crews from Croatia, Slovenia, Russia and Ukraine are also expected.

This year's event carries additional sporting significance, as the results count towards the national championships of Serbia and Republika Srpska.

CEREMONIAL START ON FRIDAY

TARGA Rally Show 2026 will officially open on Friday, October 16, with a ceremonial start at the karting track in Zalužani, beginning at 6 p.m. Admission to the opening ceremony is free.

The evening will focus on introducing the crews and bringing competitors closer to the public. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the racing cars up close, meet drivers and co-drivers, take photographs and socialise with participants.

It will also be an opportunity for first-time rally spectators to meet the people behind the helmets and racing numbers before the competitive action begins.

NEW TRACK LAYOUT COMBINES ASPHALT AND DIRT

One of the main features of this year's event is a new track configuration, being used in this format for the first time. Crews will begin on the circuit section before moving onto a dirt surface and continuing onto the karting track.

The changes in surface and pace will demand precision and quick adaptation from drivers, while co-drivers will need to maintain concentration throughout each run. For spectators, the combination of fast sections and a technical karting sector will offer a chance to follow different racing challenges within a relatively compact area.

NIGHT RALLY RUNS ADD TO THE EXCITEMENT

Night driving will be another highlight of the programme, transforming the familiar track into a completely different setting. Headlights cutting through the darkness, the roar of engines approaching before the cars come into view and high-speed runs under the night sky will create a distinctive rally atmosphere.

For the crews, night conditions bring an additional challenge, requiring precise coordination between drivers and co-drivers. For spectators, the evening sessions will provide a different perspective on rally competition and add another dimension to the weekend in Zalužani.

DRIFT SHOW AND DRIFT TAXI RIDES

In addition to the rally action, spectators can look forward to performances by three drift drivers. Controlled slides through corners, tyre smoke and spectacular car manoeuvres will bring extra energy to the circuit between competitive runs.

The drift taxi experience will be another attraction, giving interested visitors the opportunity to experience drifting from the passenger seat. For some spectators, this will be a chance to go beyond watching the action and feel the skill and precision of a drift driver firsthand.

A WEEKEND FOR MOTORSPORT ENTHUSIASTS

With 63 crews, a new track layout, night rally runs and a dedicated drift programme, TARGA Rally Show 2026 promises a varied weekend for motorsport fans.

From Friday's ceremonial crew introductions to the final competitive runs, visitors will be able to support local competitors, meet participants from other countries and follow the action from close to the track.

TICKETS AND ADMISSION

Admission to the ceremonial start on Friday, October 16, at 6 p.m. at the Zalužani karting track is free.

Tickets for the programme on Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18, will be available at the entrance to the complex.
