Bijeljina is set to receive a major aesthetic upgrade in the heart of the city, as plans have been announced to transform one of its central streets into a vibrant urban space filled with greenery and color.
According
to Mayor Ljubiša Petrović, the project will focus on the renovation of Vuka
Karadžića Street, which surrounds the main square of the largest city in the
Semberija region. The announcement was made via his official Facebook page.
As
part of the initiative, the street will be resurfaced with new asphalt, while a
rose garden featuring as many as 1,000 red roses will be planted, giving the
area a distinctive and visually appealing character.
Citizens are also invited to take part in the project. Residents can contribute by donating rose seedlings, with each seedling priced at 5 KM.
“For
anyone who wishes to support the beautification of this street, donations are
welcome. For more information about donating seedlings or learning more about
our ‘Let’s Clean Semberija’ campaign, you can contact Ljiljana Popadić, our
landscape architect,” Petrović stated.
Interested
donors can reach out via the following phone numbers: 055/233-183 and
066/287-349.
This
initiative is part of broader efforts to improve public spaces and enhance the
overall quality of life in the city.
