"MOUNTAINEERING FAIRYTALE" IN DOBOJ MARKS INTERNATIONAL DAY OF FAMILIES

Another edition of the “Mountaineering Fairytale” was held in Doboj to celebrate the International Day of Families, bringing together numerous local families in an event that united generations through nature, recreation, and togetherness.

From the youngest children to the oldest family members, participants joined the gathering and enjoyed a family walk along the arranged trail starting from the hunting lodge “Pridjel” and stretching through the forests of Ozren Mountain.

The main idea behind the event is not only to strengthen family bonds, but also to encourage children to develop a closer connection with nature, forests, and a healthy lifestyle from an early age.

Judging by the large turnout and positive atmosphere, this family-oriented walk through the scenic Ozren landscapes is set to become a cherished tradition in the region.

The International Day of Families is observed every year on May 15, after being proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1993. The occasion serves as a reminder of the importance of family values and the role families play in society.

Although families can be described in many ways, the words that best define them remain love, understanding, happiness, security, tolerance, peace, and support.

Marking the International Day of Families is also an opportunity to highlight the importance of equality and balance in both private and professional life for women and men alike.
