Bringing together lovers of art, poetry, and tradition rooted in the cultural heritage of Semberija, this year’s edition of “Dučić and Maga’s Hours” will take place from November 27 to 29 in Bijeljina.
Once
again, the central event will be the Bijeljina Ball, organized in cooperation
with the Local Foundation Bijeljina and SKUD “Semberija.” The ball is scheduled
for November 29, 2025, at Hotel “Drina,” starting at 8 PM.
Designed
as a symbolic return to the early 20th century—an era when balls epitomized
refinement, good taste, and the nurturing of civic culture—the event will
revive the elegance of historic salons in the heart of Semberija. Each gesture
and every word is intended to evoke the charm of a bygone time.
Guests are encouraged to dress in formal, elegant attire. Ladies are advised to choose long or cocktail dresses inspired by classic aesthetics, while gentlemen are recommended to wear dark suits paired with a tie or bowtie.
In
addition to a ceremonial dinner, attendees will enjoy a ballroom performance by
members of SKUD “Semberija,” as well as a musical appearance by renowned
regional artist Nevena Božović, known to audiences across the Balkans and for
her participation in Eurovision.
Tickets,
priced at 75 KM, are available at the ticket office of the Cultural Center. All
proceeds will be directed toward supporting young poets from Bijeljina by
funding the publication of their first poetry collections.
Organizers
invite all admirers of culture, tradition, and festive artistic evenings to
join this year’s ball and show their support for emerging creators and the
city’s cultural life.
“Return
to the elegant spirit of the 20th century,” the organizers said, as reported by
eKapija.
