DOBOJ RESIDENTS DEFEND AGRICULTURAL LAND

Residents of the village of Podnovlje near Doboj gathered in protest against the illegal construction of solar power plants on agricultural land.

The locals say they are demanding that the authorities enforce the ruling of the Supreme Court of Republika Srpska, which annulled the controversial sale of agricultural land to the company Etmax.

Despite the ruling, they claim that the company has continued construction works that threaten the normal life of people living in the area.

A previous decision by the Doboj District Court was overturned, and the act issued by the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs (RUGIP), which had registered the land in Podnovlje under the ownership of the City of Doboj and later sold it to Etmax under questionable circumstances, was annulled.
