In the village of Osojci near Derventa, nature breathes freely, and the scent of rosehip and apples fills the air on the estate of a hardworking young woman who turned her passion for farming into a brand of organic rosehip tea – “B3”.
Behind the name stands Dragana Duvnjak Krndija, an agronomist by profession, who traded city life for a return to her roots – the village, nature, and organic farming.
“I was driving a tractor by the age of seven or eight,” Dragana recalls. That early connection to the land wasn’t just child’s play – it was a glimpse into her future. She dreamed of a small house in the countryside, an estate cultivated with care, and food made purely by nature. Today, that dream is reality – her land has grown from just three to fifteen hectares of cultivated soil.
Nearly four years ago, she decided to plant a hectare of native rosehip, following strict principles of organic farming.
“I chose organic agriculture because its values are close to my heart. It reminds me of traditional farming, but with clear rules – no chemicals, no artificial additives. The B3 brand represents Bosnia and the three natural elements we rely on: water, soil, and sunlight,” says Dragana.
Her choice was no coincidence – rosehip is a resilient and low-maintenance crop, perfect for sustainable farming and known for its powerful medicinal properties. On one hectare, she planted 2,000 bushes. Now entering their fourth growing season, the next harvest is expected in late September.
Today, rosehip and apples grow across three hectares, while the rest of the land is leased and used for organic field crops.
“Each year, we harvest about a ton of dried plant material. We have drying facilities on the estate, and we process everything on-site into tea. We’re proud to say ours is one of the largest organic farms in Republika Srpska,” Dragana explains.
Step by step, the “B3” brand was created. A name that stands for a simple but powerful philosophy – respect for nature, uncompromising quality, and love for the craft.
“Each box of our tea is hand-packed with love. We use only sunlight, pure soil, and natural water,” Dragana emphasizes.
“B3” is more than tea – it’s a manifesto of healthy living and reconnecting with nature. The rosehip powder produced on her estate has strong antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and even anticancer properties.
“I want my products to be 100% healthy and accessible to everyone. Of course, I couldn’t do this alone – I owe immense gratitude and love to my husband Srđan and my parents,” says this young entrepreneur, as reported by Derventa Cafe.
At a time when many young people are leaving rural areas in search of opportunity elsewhere, Dragana proves that the future can be built right where our roots lie. She has brought the land back to life – and herself too – merging knowledge, passion, and love for nature into a truly inspiring story.
