TREBINJE'S TRIUMPH IN BERLIN: 'GOLDEN STAR' AWARD SECURED

Fantastic news arrives from Berlin as Trebinje is awarded the "GOLDEN STAR" for the best promotional tourism video at the "The Golden City Gate 2024" competition.

Following last year's success, another accolade is received for the promotional video "Trebinje goes green" in the 'Eco Tourism' category, created by Slavenko Vukasović. This achievement is supported by the City of Trebinje, the Development Agency of Trebinje (TREDEA), and the Tourist Organization of Trebinje, as conveyed by the Trebinje Tourist Organization.

This award marks the 23rd consecutive year it has been presented at the renowned "ITB Berlin," the world's largest tourism and travel trade fair. It adds to the array of honors bestowed upon Trebinje.

Trebinje has maintained its position in the TOP 100 sustainable tourism stories within the Green Destinations program for three consecutive years. Notably, in 2022, Hercegovačka Kuća was recognized as the world's best story in sustainable supply chains.

Moreover, within the "Iter Vitis" cultural route of the Council of Europe 2022, Trebinje was named the best sustainable wine destination alongside the Tvrdoš Monastery cellars, which received an award for their outstanding practice in enhancing cultural-historical heritage and wine.

Representatives from GIZ in Bosnia and Herzegovina also attended the award ceremony, supporting significant strides towards positioning and certifying Trebinje as the first 'green' destination in the country.
