WIZZ AIR EXPANDS NUMBER OF DESTINATIONS FROM REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

Starting in October this year, passengers from Banja Luka Airport will be able to fly daily to Basel, with an increased number of flights also planned for Dortmund, marking a significant improvement compared to last year’s winter schedule.

“As for the expansion of routes, this increase in operations has already been announced for the winter season. Wizz Air passengers will now have the opportunity to fly daily from Banja Luka to Basel for the first time this winter — seven times a week, which is a major boost compared to last winter when flights operated only twice a week,” said Valentina Kecman, Director of Banja Luka Airport, in an interview with RTRS.

She added that from October 20, 2025, tickets for daily flights to Basel are already available on Wizz Air’s official website.

There is also an increase in flights on the Wizz Air route to Dortmund.

“From October 20, the number of weekly flights to Dortmund will rise to four, up from the current two. This is also a significant improvement, given that only two weekly flights were available during last year’s winter season,” Kecman noted.

When asked about the introduction of new routes, Kecman stated that agreements with airlines are expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
