After Belgrade, the largest fair in the Western Balkans, and Berlin, the largest fair in Europe, tourism professionals from the region will be attending the International Tourism Fair in Banja Luka from March 1st to 3rd, making it the biggest tourism event in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the promotion of the tourist offer in Belgrade, the phrase "See you in Banja Luka" was often heard, and looking at the list of registered exhibitors, it's indeed the case. Over a hundred of them will find their place in the "Centar" hall this weekend, presenting the most beautiful sights, attractions, and experiences to encourage visitors to come, explore, and enjoy the region they love and promote.
Alongside local exhibitors from Trebinje, Sarajevo, Foča, Zvornik, Novi Grad, and Šipovo, the majority of exhibitors come from Serbia. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear the latest information about places to visit and experiences to enjoy.
Isn't it delightful to hear stories from our friends who live there and promote attractions such as the Golubac Fortress, the Đurđeve stupove Monastery, or Fruska Gora? Or to hear about the experiences from partners of this year's fair from Herceg Novi about how the mimosas season went?
In addition to our spa centers, which we are proud of, respected spas from Slovenia will also be present, offering attendees the chance to win vouchers and experience their hospitality.
Apart from several national parks and Olympic centers showcasing their offerings, there will also be travel agencies preparing great deals and fair discounts for visitors. With summer approaching, why not knock on the door of the fair and see what new summer experiences are available and, of course, at what prices?
Fairs are always a great opportunity to gather information about all the latest travel trends and make decisions about your next holiday destination.
The fair will be officially opened by the Minister of Trade and Tourism on Friday at 1:00 PM, and to ensure the event is not just informative, the organizers and fair partners have prepared a nice accompanying program on Saturday to further enrich the fair day for all attendees.
The sound of the trumpet from Guča will be heard, local products prepared by the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Employers "Horeca RS" will be tasted, we will sense the taste of Leskovac, and award the best among the best with certificates and plaques.
At the stand of the Tourist Organization of Republika Srpska, students from the Faculty of Science at the University of Banja Luka, specializing in geography and tourism, will be present to share their experiences generously.
Given that we often boast of our hospitality, and tourism values credibility in what we say and do, the fair days in Banja Luka will be a great opportunity to confirm what we consider an asset, and that is a hospitable and friendly approach to every guest.
As much as technology and multimedia have advanced, offering countless digital promotion possibilities, fairs still maintain their charm because the culture of dialogue, personal contact, the smile of the interlocutor, the handshake, and even the experience of the fair itself, whether you are a visitor or an exhibitor, cannot be conveyed digitally.
At the heart of tourism is people, and people, by God, love to meet. Therefore, I invite you to come and be part of the tourism story where we build bridges of friendship.
