A new festival dedicated to relaxation, nature and outdoor experiences will be held for the first time in Bosansko Grahovo from August 20 to 23, 2026.
“RestFest” is being organized by a young yet
highly experienced team of outdoor enthusiasts and activists who want to
encourage people to slow down, reconnect with nature and take a break from the
fast pace of everyday life.
The festival is designed as an opportunity to
rest both body and soul, far away from the noise and crowds of the city. At the
same time, visitors looking for a more active holiday will have a wide range of
activities to choose from, including hiking and cycling tours, a visit to the
Ledenice Cave, a slackline workshop, aerial silk dance, yoga, exploring
sandstone climbing sites, hand-dyeing T-shirt workshops, learning about local
plants, botanical art, and birdwatching.
All of these activities will take place amid the untouched natural surroundings of the Grahovsko Karst Field.
The festival atmosphere will continue into the evenings, when participants will gather around campfires under the open sky, surrounded by stars and the peaceful sounds of nature.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the Local Products Market at the festival camp, meet local producers and taste authentic specialties from the area.
“Do not miss the Local Products Market in the
camp, where you will have the opportunity to meet local producers and try the
authentic flavors of this region,” the organizers said.
A dedicated camping area will be available for
festival participants, offering spaces for tents and campers, as well as
showers, electricity and toilets. The number of places is limited, while food
will be available for purchase directly from local producers.
Participation is free for residents of the
Municipality of Bosansko Grahovo, while the fee is 40 KM for residents of
Bosnia and Herzegovina and €40 for visitors living outside Bosnia and
Herzegovina. Children up to the age of 12 can attend free of charge.
The surroundings of Bosansko Grahovo are
renowned for their untouched nature, numerous karst sinkholes scattered across
the Grahovsko Field, the impressive peaks of Uilica, Jadovnik and Dinara, a
rich cultural heritage and the genuine hospitality of the local people.
With its combination of outdoor activities,
local food, camping, cultural experiences and peaceful surroundings, “RestFest”
aims to offer visitors a chance to truly slow down, breathe deeply and
rediscover the simple pleasure of spending time in nature.
