The screening took place at the MTS Hall on the fifth day of the cultural manifestation, shedding light on the impressive journey of the Banja Luka-born athlete who holds the record of 465 appearances for the Yugoslav national team.

Directed and written by Ljubiša Bajić, the film focuses not on Golić’s statistics, but on the path to her success—highlighting the intense training sessions, preparation routines, and daily life of national team players between 1980 and 1992.

"One year, they played in three major tournaments: the Universiade, European Championship, and World Championship. That kind of schedule is unimaginable today," Bajić noted. "Through interviews with her teammates, coaches, and journalists, a clear picture emerges of Slađana as the glue that held the team together."

Golić, visibly moved after the screening, shared how emotional the film was for her:

"It was really hard for me to watch. It brought back everything we went through. We stayed like one big family. Even today, when I see any of them, I feel joy. All of my teammates and friends will always remain in my heart," she said.

The film was promoted by the Tourist Organization of Banja Luka, where Golić worked for two decades after her basketball career. The organization emphasized that Banja Luka is not only a city of sports but also home to 14 Olympic medalists.

“Slađana's achievements are immeasurable—not just the medals and trophies, but the kind of person she is. She's a true friend with connections around the world, and I believe this film captures at least a part of who she truly is,” said Mladen Šukalo from the Tourist Organization.

The Belgrade premiere was attended by Golić’s friends, former teammates, and coaches, including her renowned trainer Zoran Kovačić Čivija. The film is expected to premiere in Banja Luka soon.
