The largest shopping center in the region, Doboj City Park, has officially opened in Doboj. The Bijeljina-based company City Mall invested approximately 60,000,000 KM in its construction and equipping, creating over 400 jobs.
The opening ceremony featured a symbolic ribbon-cutting by the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, Doboj Mayor Boris Jerinić, and City Mall Director Rastko Novaković.
Mayor Jerinić expressed pride in attending the opening of a shopping center that, as he noted, transcends the interests of the city itself. He also shared his satisfaction that Doboj City Park will soon welcome the retail chain Lidl and a Cinestar cinema.
Doboj City Park spans approximately 63,000 square meters, with 23,000 square meters dedicated to retail space.
According to City Mall, this is the third retail park operated by the company. It is located on the site of the former compressor and pneumatic tools factory Trudbenik, which City Mall acquired for 12,000,000 KM during bankruptcy proceedings.
