THIRD "MTB MARATHON" STARTS IN VIŠEGRAD

The third "MTB Marathon," organized by the Cycling Association "MTB Višegrad," will start from the Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge in Višegrad on Sunday, September 1st, at 10:00 AM, confirmed Igor Mučibabić, the president of the association, for Radio Višegrad.

According to Mučibabić, a large number of cyclists from various cities in the Republic of Srpska and Serbia have already registered for the marathon. He noted that registrations are open until August 25th and can be made online through a link available on the "MTB Višegrad" Facebook page or by calling 065/719-836 and 066/492-760.

- This year, participants can choose from three routes. The mini route, 7.5 kilometers long, is designed for the youngest participants, the medium route is 15 kilometers long and leads to the Church of St. John in Višegrad Spa, and the main route is 33 kilometers long, passing through Višegrad Spa, the villages of Dubovo, Veletovo, Dubovik, and back to Višegrad via Velji Lug, said Mučibabić, adding that refreshment stations will be provided for participants on all routes.

He also mentioned that all participants will be treated to lunch at Hotel "Višegrad" at 3:00 PM, and medals will be awarded to all marathon participants.

The marathon is organized by the "MTB Višegrad" Association in cooperation with the Municipality of Višegrad and the local Tourist Organization.
