SOMOVIJADA 2025 GATHERS FISHING ENTHUSIASTS AT BILEĆA LAKE

BILEĆA – The “Apolon” raft in Bileća is once again hosting the traditional catfish fishing competition “Somovijada,” which will take place on August 3, 2025, at the picturesque Bileća Lake.

Participants are expected to gather at the “Apolon” raft at 5:30 a.m., while the competition officially begins at 6:00 a.m.

The registration fee is 40 KM per participant, and the organizers promise a memorable day filled with competitive spirit and great atmosphere.

In addition to fishing, a culinary competition will also be held, where masters will compete in preparing the famous “golden cauldron” and fish stew. A festive lunch and the award ceremony will follow.

Valuable prizes will be awarded to the top three participants in both fishing and cooking, along with special recognitions for both competitors and guests.
