RUDO OFFERS A PARADISE FOR NATURE AND ADVENTURE LOVERS

Nestled along the Sarajevo–Rudo highway in the village of Setihovo, within the municipality of Rudo, lies Vodeni Ćiro, a family-owned camp that has become a true haven for nature enthusiasts, adventure seekers, and those craving a peaceful retreat by the water.

Officially launched in July 2021, the camp is the result of a heartfelt family idea that blossomed from simple Sunday outings.

"It all started when I used to come with my family to the lake in Setihovo on weekends and ride a raft. Those peaceful moments, filled with laughter and joy, made me think: 'Why not create something here that others can enjoy too?' From that thought, the camp grew year by year—with love, dedication, and the hard work of my family," said Marko Mićević, owner of Camp Vodeni Ćiro, in a statement to Klix.ba.

The camp's main attraction, and the inspiration behind its name, is the Vodeni Ćiro boat—a nod to the iconic narrow-gauge train Ćiro that once ran through the region.

"Today, instead of rails, Vodeni Ćiro sails through the stunning Lim canyon, offering unforgettable views of untouched nature. We organize boat rides every Sunday with tickets available, while private rides can be arranged on request," Mićević explained. The boat can accommodate up to 30 guests, and all are welcome.

Zilha Ramić from Sarajevo shared her experience:

"My friends and I have been exploring the beauty of Bosnia and Herzegovina for years, and it didn't take us long to decide to visit Rudo. The boat ride left us breathless. We fully enjoyed the clean river and the surrounding nature. Time flew by, and the kindness and professionalism of our hosts made the experience even better."

Camp Vodeni Ćiro is designed for guests seeking tranquility, nature, and comfort. It offers a wide range of activities and facilities for all generations. Visitors can stay overnight in charming wooden bungalows, each equipped with a private bathroom—bringing the comfort of home to the heart of nature.

The camp also includes a raft with a garden and restaurant, where guests can enjoy delicious food and refreshing drinks in a unique setting above the river.

Since July 2025, a brand-new attraction has enhanced the camp’s offerings: a large swimming pool, perfect for cooling off and relaxing during hot summer days. Guests can also rent kayaks, pedal boats, and rowboats, adding an extra layer of adventure on the Lim River. The area is also popular with anglers, who—with proper permits—try their luck catching some of the river’s largest fish.

"Camp Vodeni Ćiro is more than just a holiday destination—it's a story about family, love for nature, and dreams that came true. If you want to feel that warmth and experience a real getaway—come visit us," Mićević concluded.
