For years, this manifestation has brought together a large number of cycling enthusiasts, recreation lovers and citizens who enjoy outdoor activities. The main goal of the event is to promote a healthy lifestyle, community spirit and positive energy among residents and visitors alike.

The cycling event is not designed as a competition, but rather as an opportunity for participants to slow down from everyday obligations and enjoy a relaxed ride through the city filled with smiles, friendship and a great atmosphere.

The start of the ride is planned from Major Zoran Karlica Square, better known as Patrija, while this year’s route is approximately five kilometres long.

Cyclists will ride through several central streets and neighbourhoods, including King Peter I the Liberator Street, Muharem Suljanović Street, the Pećani settlement, Meša Selimović Street, Vidovdanska Street, Petar Petrović Njegoš Street, Boško Buha Street, Rudnička Street, Vuk Karadžić Street, Nikola Pašić Street, 43rd Prijedor Brigade Street, Kozara Detachment Alley, Serbian Greats Street, Ilija Bursać Street, Gortanova Street, Dr Mladen Stojanović Street, Svetosavska Street and Uskočka Street, before returning to the starting point.

The route has been adapted for all generations and fitness levels, and organisers are inviting families, children, recreational cyclists and all citizens to join the event and become part of this positive story.

A full-day entertainment program has also been prepared for participants and visitors. Gathering and registration for the cycling ride and prize games will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by the official opening ceremony and the start of the ride.

At the same time, a special cycling course for the youngest participants will be organised, while the period from noon until 2 p.m. will feature entertainment activities, prize games, award ceremonies and the official closing of the event.

Organisers emphasize that the “Šesnaestomajska Biciklijada” is much more than an ordinary bicycle ride — it is an event that connects people, promotes healthy living and presents a beautiful image of the city.

All lovers of recreation and social gatherings are invited to come to the streets of Prijedor on May 17, prepare their bicycles and take part in another cycling story that attracts an increasing number of participants every year.
