THE WILDEST SUMMER ADVENTURE IS ON THE TARA

Foča is once again at the heart of regional adventure tourism – the 2025 rafting season is in full swing and will last until mid-October.

Nature lovers, adrenaline seekers, and active holiday enthusiasts can enjoy an unforgettable descent through one of Europe’s deepest and most beautiful canyons – the Tara River Canyon.

Surrounded by the natural beauty of Sutjeska and Durmitor National Parks, visitors can choose from a wide range of outdoor activities, with Tara rafting as the most popular option. This thrilling and dynamic river descent lasts between two and four hours, depending on the season.

Rafting trips are organized daily by the Drina Tara Rafting Center from early April until mid-October.

Accommodation is available in over 140 mountain-style bungalows, offering both standard and luxury options, complemented by traditional home-cooked meals and authentic hospitality. Guests remember this region for its delicious organic food, wooden interiors, untouched nature, and the immediate closeness of wilderness.

In addition to rafting, guests can enjoy many other activities – hiking tours, jeep safaris, quad rides, canyoning, excursions, and mountain trekking – all of which can be combined to create a personalized outdoor experience.
