The Tourist Organization of Prijedor, together with its partners, has installed educational boards along the promenade in the Old Town, adding new value and content that enrich both the public space and the overall experience of staying in the city on the banks of the Sana River.
Each
board highlights different aspects of the city and its surroundings — from
urban and rural life to tourism potential, the beauty of Kozara Mountain, local
flora and fauna, the Sana River, and the importance of environmental
protection. Visitors can also learn more about cultural institutions, religious
sites, sports, tradition, and the city’s economy.
Through the educational boards titled “Meet Prijedor,” younger generations are offered a simple and accessible way to learn about the place where they grow up.
The project aims to bring local heritage and identity closer to children and young people, encouraging them to better understand and appreciate their hometown.
As
announced, “Meet Prijedor” is not merely an informative project — it represents
an investment in the city’s identity, its recognizability, and the quality of
its tourism offer. In this way, the Old Town promenade becomes a space that
connects past and present, tradition and modern life.
“Prijedor
is not just a place on the map; it is a story that continues. By walking
through these stories, you can now discover the city’s identity,” the Tourist
Organization of Prijedor stated.
