The opening night featured energetic performances by the local band Arterije from Brod and the band Deminutiva from Prnjavor, creating a lively atmosphere and marking a festive start to this year’s event.

“ZimzoBrod” once again proved to be a gathering place not only for the residents of Brod, but also for visitors from neighboring municipalities, who came to enjoy good music, food, drinks, and a warm holiday atmosphere.

Among the visitors was Jovana Sekulić from Derventa, who attended the festival for the first time with her family.

“I heard that the opening was tonight and decided to come and see what it looks like. I can say that it’s really nice,” Jovana told eBrod.

The festival continues to attract all generations, from young children to older visitors. Mira Miličić and fifth-grade student Luna Mitrić are among those who confirmed this. Mira attended the event with friends, emphasizing that “ZimzoBrod” offers an opportunity for residents to leave their homes during the holiday season and enjoy socializing in the City Park. She invited everyone who missed the opening night to visit the festival in the coming days.

Luna Mitrić also visited the park with her friends and praised both the cheerful atmosphere and the festive decorations that enhance the holiday spirit.

As in previous years, the festival was officially opened by the Mayor of the Municipality of Brod and the Director of the Tourist Organization.

Mayor Milan Zečević expressed his satisfaction with the continued growth of the event.

“We are pleased that a festival which started five years ago continues to grow and that each year we manage to offer something new to our fellow citizens, especially young people,” Zečević said. He added that he was particularly happy to see young local musicians, such as Arterije, performing again and opening this year’s edition of “ZimzoBrod” in their own unique style.

Goran Garačić, Director of the Tourist Organization of Brod, highlighted the strong performances by young bands and noted that around fifteen exhibitors contributed to the festive experience by offering food, drinks, and handmade products.

“I believe that, just like in previous years, ‘ZimzoBrod’ is a complete success. People have come to socialize and enjoy the holiday spirit together,” Garačić said, as reported by eBrod.
