€450 FOR TWO NIGHTS IN TREBINJE?!

Some property owners in Trebinje seem to have completely lost touch with reality, as shown by a shocking listing on Booking.com, where the price for a two-night stay for two people from June 13 to 15 reaches a staggering €450 (or 880 KM).

€450 FOR TWO NIGHTS IN TREBINJE?!

According to the local portal “TrebinjeLive,” most visitors who plan to attend the upcoming motorcycle festival in Trebinje have found accommodation at reasonable prices. However, this particular example stands out as an extreme case of price gouging.

While it is understandable that prices may rise during major events such as the motorcycle festival, charging 350 to 450 KM per night is, as “TrebinjeLive” notes, completely unjustified.

Although authorities cannot directly control prices, setting them this high could lead to a wave of negative reviews and long-term damage to the city’s reputation. Profits may come quickly, but they disappear just as fast. Meanwhile, Trebinje will continue to welcome tourists long after the event is over — and they may think twice about returning if they feel taken advantage of.
