The doors of hedonism, elegance, and culture will once again open in Trebinje—a city where the days last longer and life offers more style—as the second edition of the international festival Wine Fine Trebinje 2025 arrives.
This unique celebration of wine, rakija, gastronomy, and art will take place just after the May Day holidays, under the southern sun and the canopy of ancient plane trees on the city’s Liberty Square.
But the festival brings more than just the aroma of fine wine, rakija, and mouthwatering traditional bites—it brings the spirit of Trebinje itself. A city that is at once inspiring and lavish, discreet yet radiant, woven with the stories of those who truly know how to celebrate life.
On May 3rd, Wine Fine Trebinje 2025 offers a full-day
experience:
From 11 AM at Vukoje Vineyards – Zasad Polje, within the
“Aperitivo Bar & Shop” distillery space:
Presentation of the book Zbogom Brljama by Željko Garmaz—a thoughtful guide through the world of homemade rakija,
A professional workshop titled “The Production of Single-Varietal Grape Rakija”, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how rakija preserves the variety, terroir, and character of time.
From 4 PM to 9 PM, international wineries and distilleries from across the region and Europe will showcase their finest labels, while authentic local producers of wine, rakija, and food will present the true story of Herzegovina.
On Liberty Square, guests will be serenaded by Adi Šarenac, a quiet guitar virtuoso whose music blends Mediterranean sensitivity with the warmth of Herzegovina.
The evening continues with a performance by Klapa Kastel Nuovo from Herceg Novi—music that doesn’t seek an audience, but finds the hearts that know how to listen.
Organizers emphasize that Wine Fine Trebinje is not just a festival. It’s the whisper of the Herzegovinian wind among the branches of the plane trees, the smile of a winemaker pouring a bottle that holds the story of every sunny year.
"Wine Fine Trebinje is a complete experience—harmony in the evening air, a conversation that becomes friendship, a moment where life pauses just to be felt. Take a day for yourself. Come to Trebinje on May 3rd. Witness how wine, rakija, food, and art together tell the most beautiful story—the story of the art of living,” organizers say, as reported by Nezavisne novine.
