Reconstruction of sports fields near Vuk Karadžić Elementary School in Višegrad has begun as part of preparations for the upcoming Intermunicipal Youth Sports Games (MOSI). The municipality has allocated 358,000 KM for the renovation project.
Dejan Krsmanović, Acting Head of the Department for Spatial Planning and Communal Affairs, stated that the renovation works have started in preparation for MOSI, which will be held in Višegrad this year. The project is being carried out by the company Romanija Putevi from Sokolac.
The reconstruction will include the refurbishment of the football and handball fields, the renovation of a volleyball court, and the reorientation of the basketball courts.
"All sports fields will be covered with a modern tartan surface, and high-quality sports equipment from renowned manufacturers will be provided. In addition to the construction work, a new green area will be created, featuring benches and playground equipment for children," Krsmanović explained.
According to the official announcement, the renovation is expected to be completed by the end of April.
