THE FIRST “SRBAČKA PETICA” BRINGS TOGETHER SPORT AND HUMANITY

The first “Srbačka Petica” street race will be held in Srbac on Sunday, September 20, bringing together runners, recreational athletes and children for a day dedicated to sport, socializing and humanitarian action.

Due to strong interest, the organizers have increased the number of participants in the main five-kilometer race to 150. In addition to runners from Srbac, participants are expected from Banjaluka, Gradiška, Prijedor and Kozarska Dubica.

The program will begin at 11 a.m. with races for children aged six to 12, who will compete over distances ranging from 200 to 800 meters. The main five-kilometer race will start at noon in front of the Srbac Municipal Administration building.

Organizers emphasize that the event is open to recreational participants as well as experienced runners. Those unable to run the entire five kilometers can complete the course by walking.

All participants will receive medals, digital certificates and lunch packages, while the top finishers in the main race will receive cash prizes of 300, 200 and 100 KM.

The first “Srbačka Petica” will also have a humanitarian purpose. All entry fees from the children’s races will be donated to support the medical treatment of 30-year-old Ranka Sanković from Srbac, who has been struggling with serious health problems and chronic pain following a knee injury.

Visitors and participants will also be able to make voluntary donations, combining sport and community spirit with support for someone in need.
