This year, Mirjana Bjelica from Berkovići wrote the most beautiful letter in the “Pošta Srpske” contest, “Writing a Letter to Santa Claus,” and won a mobile phone, which will be presented to her at the Trebinje post office.
The second prize, a wireless speaker, was awarded to Dunja Rikalo from Trebinje.
Iva Miljković, a second-grader at the “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” elementary school in Trebinje, received the third prize. She was thrilled to win wireless headphones.
“I asked Santa Claus for headphones and a smartwatch. My mom helped me write the letter. I was good this year and listened to my parents. Today was wonderful; we played, sang, and took photos with Santa Claus,” said Iva, who attended today’s celebration.
Milica Banđur, a sales and marketing representative at the Trebinje branch of Pošta Srpske, highlighted that Santa Claus received approximately 450 letters this year from children attending kindergartens and schools across Eastern Herzegovina.
“Once again, the children were diligent and creative. Santa Claus and we at Pošta Srpske had our hands full. Most letters included wishes for mobile phones, headphones, and plush toys. While reading the letters, we noticed that children also wished for world peace, an end to illness, and good health for their loved ones. It’s evident from these letters that our youngest show great empathy,” said Banđur.
In addition to the three main prizes, children from kindergartens and primary schools across Eastern Herzegovina who showed exceptional creativity received consolation prizes – 50 gift packages.
